Rs. 979.00 crores |
Construction Period |
4 years |
The scheme would generate 423.29 million kwh in 50% dependable year with 95%
plant availability factor. The cost of the project including escalation in cost
during construction period and interest on loan amount during construction (IDC)
is estimated at Rs. 82953 lakh. The sale price is estimated at Rs. 3.97 per
kwh in the first year and the levellised sale price is Rs. 3.55 per kwh.
The Tiuni Plasu Hydroelectric Project (72 MW) on river Tons in district Dehradun
is therefore a technically feasible, viable and eligible project for development to
meet the energy requirement of the State. The sale price of Rs. 3.55/- per
kWh may appear to be on higher side at the first sight. However, considering that energy is
becoming scarcer day-by-day, the cost of energy in the long run shall be economical.
Hence, construction of 72 MW Tiuni Plasu Hydroelectric Project is worth for consideration.
